Whats up, how ya doin. You've come to the right place.
My name is Sarah-Elizabeth, but I prefer Sare. I'm 23 and currently awaiting acceptance into the Media and Journalism programs at Algonquin College. I spend my spare time reblogging pictures of cats, complaining about my life, and speaking franglais. My favourite food? Avocados or Sushi. My favourite drink? Tomato juice and white wine. My favourite band? The Rocket Summer. My favourite colour? grey, yellow and purple.
surf the links, read my stuff, creep my social media. Lets be friends.

I’ve grown to like the fact that my birthday is right at the beginning of the year. It means i can start a new year fresh with a new age to go with it. 2011 came in with a mellow boring new years party, and soon after i turned 22. 2011 was a year for ups and downs and Record highs and all time lows.

I’ve been living with my best friend Sarah since October of 2010, and since then we’ve been known to throw a pretty decent party for holidays, but really neither of us are valentines day folk, so this year we decided we needed to get into the spirit and throw a killer Valentines day party, which actually went without a hitch! I got all decked out in pink and we hung decorations and drank wine and went dancing

2011 brought many adventures. I attended the premier of the movie I am Number Four, went to a bunch of MTVlive shows, and took my mom to a taping of the Marilyn Denis show for her birthday! There was also roadtrips to Quebec, my first casino experience, and numerous summer camping adventures.

2011 was a year for the heartstrings. My grandpa in and out of hospital, being afraid that Sarah’s boyfriend would be transfered to a base in New Brunswick, being so far away from other best friends, falling head-over-heals for a boy with a girlfriend, and then falling head-over-heals for someone very much off limits that I could’ve had, years ago, that treated me like crap anyway.

2011 was a year for techy gadgets. I finally joined the rest of the world and got a smartphone, I purchased my first DSLR camera, and had to hash out hundreds of dollars in repairs for my poor baby macbook.

Most importantly, 2011 was about growing up. I got fired from the place I’d been working at for so long, for no reason. I tried to get another high-up above minimum wage job for a while, and ended up “settling” for a job at a Dollarstore, not expecting that it would end up being one of the best months of the whole year. Throughout my life, everyone has tossed around “everything happens for a reason” but this has been the year of believing that.

2011 was crazy. I dont remember ever having a year like it… As I sit on the couch at my moms house, I think about the year to come. I’m moving to Ottawa in just four days. I dont know what to except from a big new city. I’m scared, I’m not even excited really. I’m afraid my friends will forget me, I’m afraid Ill never see a certain someone ever again, and im afraid I’ll become a totally new person.

But everything happens for a reason, and its time to look forward and stop fearing the outcome… its going to happen anyway. It’s time to turn 23. Its time for a new adventure

Wishing everyone a healthy happy and exciting 2012 :)
